AlfretonFreemasonry – in Alfreton?!!

It is probably not well known by many local Alfreton Town’s people that the Abraham Lincoln Library situated at the end of Derby Road, near to the roundabout of the A38, has in fact been a Masonic Hall since 1971. The hall is used by 4 Lodges and other Masonic Orders on a regular basis throughout the year. The Lodges have kept a fairly low profile over recent years. This could be about to change! Freemasonry is a fraternal society with many members, distinguished and otherwise, who share a belief in fellowship and friendship, being instrumental in charity work raising funds for many worthy organisations locally and nationally. This is the website of the Royal Alfred Lodge 1028 and our aim is to explain who we are and what we do, to put the myths to bed once and for all!
